Jon since this is getting way off topic feel free to move the last four posts to a different section. Maybe call it Biking opinions or something.

Does the slightly slow guy/kid lubbey(sp) still work at Bert's in NT? The guy that is/was obsessed with old police cars or any crappy fast car?

I worked at the Orchard Park store for about 2 years and the NT store for a few months.

I started at Berts after I worked in a real bike shop for 3-4 years. Berts is not a real shop.

LOL! Can't believe Lubbey still works there, he is a funny dude. He is the Billman for that store.

No damage was done to the Hunter's trail system today. Rode there when the guys from GT were hanging out and it was plenty dry to handle the 10 or so riders that went out. Probably the best I have seen it there in years, very few mud spots.

The Demo was pretty cool. I got to ride three different bikes, the Fury, Sensor and Force Carbon Pro.

Sensor:

Force:

Fury: Actually pedaled pretty well...

The sensor was by far the best bike for Hunters. Was able to do the drops and climb up anything. The GT guys were actually letting anyone who wanted to try a bike test out one of their bikes for the night which was pretty cool.

How was the slightly steeper head angle on the Sensor?

I'm heading out to Hunters around noon for a ride. I have not been able to get on my trail bike in a month. I am actually excited to get off the DH bike for a change.

It was a different feel from my sanction which has a 66 degree head tube angle. But it would climb a lot better than my rockhopper ever did, and it can still handle the fast downhill sections but just not with the same confidence that the sanction does. I did do the three drop section on the sensor and it seemed to handle it just fine. One kid tried the 3rd drop on the force carbon pro and ate it pretty hard to the face, cracked his helmet and all.

I liked the bike a lot but probably would not take it to any real DH place like plattekill. It seems to excel the most on the trails around here.

Cool that GT was letting regular folk try out the bikes. Should of gone down.

I went to HC Saturday afternoon, and I concur with Jesse.
Stayed mostly on the West side of the creek and asides from a few mud spots here an there, it was pleasant to ride. Rode blue, red, and yellow and then a loop on Sgt. Marks. Sgt. Marks has a few muddy spots just east of the parking lot, nothing major though.

If we get any rain at all, conditions will change.

Couldn't go to the fest because had work to do, but still make it out for a quick ride at Hunters. Ended up riding for 2 hours straight because conditions were great.
