ANF IS PROBABLY THE BEST PLACE TO RIDE. ITS A HIDDEN GEM THAT IS LIKE 30000 SQUARE MILES.

I have a camp that is only a mile or two from the forest, and one or two trails. I'd love to know where some more are.

And I have one of your bikes
I have the same username at singletrack.com

I'm sorry but you cannot use bobikes or bodacious as a name.

Ok now that legal stuff out of way. you have one of my bikes? which one?

Come for a ride with us in ANF sometime. best to get hooked up with Pete at Bradford bike shop. We have ridden various trails and logging roads.

ride from Bradford to westline and back to bradford and by kinzua.

bobikes

sorry, by same name I meant I am "kneescar" on that other forum as well.
I have one of your early road bikes. It has been hidden away in the basement for years. I just got a mountain bike and I'm looking forward to logging some miles on both bikes. (there is a picture of my Bodacious road bike in my profile on singletrack.com).

There is (or seems to be) alot of snow in the woods right now, unless you head south or north a bit.
Has somebody been snowblowing the trails out Bradford way?

I only have 2 or 3 of my own bikes. I think my total output for frames was 25.

I'm getting bug to make a 29 hardtail.

You guys are killing me! Shocked I bought this directly from Bo.
Yes, it's the Blue and black fade road bike with old school Columbus drop outs (so I had the option of playing with a fixed gear setup) and Columbus EL OS tubing because I'm fat.
I always had a dream of having a custom bike and this is it. It was custom made for me. I'm very proud of it.

I would love to see your 29er if you build it.

How do I add another trail to the allegheny national forest where to ride space? I can think of two or three kick ass trails in the ANF right off the top of my head.

You mean adding something to this page?:

http://www.wnymba.org/portal.php?h=anf

As we say there,
Quote:
"The Allegheny National Forest is the closest national forest to Buffalo, is huge, and has a lot of great biking. According to the ANF biking web page, most areas are open, except for wilderness areas, proposed wilderness areas, and three designated scenic/research/experimental sections. The NCT and the trails around the Reservior (National Recreation Area) are also closed."

If you've got some specific ones to add, let me know and I'll add them onto that page.

There's a lot of advocacy work going on there now with PA locals getting more involved. Access there is always under threat. I would suggest contacting the NAMBA folks at http://www.bikeallegheny.org/

Thanks!
