Yup....road bike for the past 2 weeks

Is there a group ride this week? (or is everyone serving penance for for riding trails when they shouldn't have?  )

John

Is that a flower caught in your pedal, or are you just happy to see me?

I haven't been out since last wednesday when I went for a walk. The trails where reasonably wet then and I know there was rain Thursday - Saturday, so I can only imagine what the conditions have been like. I for one have been road biking and sparing the trails. My yard is still reasonably wet, so I woud guess the trails are not dry (how wet I have no idea?) Really, I have no idea what the current conditions are and will be out of town for Wednesdays ride. I just hope that things dry out by the time I get back next week. Good luck finding dry riding this week :(

Thanks Boogenman that's what we thought when we cancelled the regular ride last night.

SB is a mess, I was up there tonight(wed) there are huge mud pits all over the trail. I saw a group of 7 or 8 guys riding, did not reconize any of them.
The trails will not be good for at least 2 dry days. It rained here for a good hour last night, I would guess it is close to 1" by the way the creeks were flowing this morning

Our insurance company has "strongly suggested" that we tell you that Mountain Biking can be dangerous. If you're visiting this site it's very likely that you're already aware that if you insist on having a good time by riding your mountain bike, eventually you will almost certainly fall down and collect any number of boo-boos, dings and injuries, serious or otherwise, but we have to tell you anyway.

Mountain Biking is a potentially hazardous activity carrying a significant risk of bodily injury and even death. Mountain biking should only be undertaken if you have a complete awareness of these risks. You can reduce the level of risk by wearing a helmet and by riding within your own skill level.
