Never mind. We got hammered by thunderstorms this morning.

Took a quick look at the washouts on my way back from Jim's swim meet Sat. afternoon. Not too different from last year's Hurricane damage.

Any trail that had a place for the water to drain off to was dry, so if the thunderstorms keep missing the park (looks like the hit E-ville tonight) then the well drained trails should be good to go. If you run into mud holes make sure you ride through them, not around them.

Nope, another swim meet for Jim this weekend. I'm in Rochester now for it.

The riding should be good in E-ville everyone. Get out and enjoy it down there!

Wow

I know where it washed out on Warner Hill I usually ride the road there in the early Spring

No doubt there are going to be MAJOR issues in the Park in like maybe the entry trails from the parking lot are gone.

I'm out of town as of this afternoon, sure would like to get out there and assess the damage but Jon I'm sure you are headed that way soon.

I talked to a guy who lives near the park - near Warner Hill/Hunters Creek road. He said Warner Hill Rd. is closed where it crosses Hunters Creek (this is just south/upstream of the park) and they were using snowplows to push off hundreds of tons of gravel that had washed up onto the road there. That section of road only has one lane left, the other half of the road is washed away. He estimates that they got between 5 and 6 inches of rain between 9:30 and 12:30.

I thought about driving out there this morning just to see how the water flows through there with something like this which was close to the rain fall from the hurricanes last year.

Guess we will have some work to do now.
