That's what I was already thinking. Combine a Morrison ride with this meeting. Wasn't sure whether to try to get it in before or after. I'd probably have to skip the meeting in Warren anyway to get back in time, so maybe riding after the noon-3 thing. But I guess it would depend on what others were doing.

as of right now, looks like the long term forecast is cooperating, nice temps and mostly dry throughout the week,

we could sweeten the deal of showing up for the Jakes Rocks walk, and project update by hosting a ride either in Scandia,,, (might cut out the deadly jeep drop trail) or even at Morrison, which is only 10 min. away from Jakes Rocks.. the ride would have to start early Sunday... or....

drop down to jakes rocks at noon... and then after an hour or two, head up to morrison or scandia for a bit of riding before the ride home (i know it's a long haul for many on here,, but if we get this done.. just think an IMBA EPIC trail destination within a bit over 2 hour drive from downtown Buffalo...

( 12:00 - 3:00 AT Jakes Rocks         4:00 - 6:00 at Allegheny Outfitters)

PKP and NAMBA bring the International Mountain Biking Association and Trail Solutions to the Jakes Rocks area.

Over $70,000 has been raised to date, to hire this world renowned trail design company. They spent the greater part of Spring 2011 in the area, analyzing and mapping out a 30-40 mile mountain biking trail system that we will, in turn, present to the ANF.
If you can make it down,, it's about 40 min. from Jamestown, NY... we are hoping to create some buzz, let folks get a look at the area that we intend to have 35 miles of trails. it would be a great way to spend a Sunday that might end up being too wet to ride...

Join us on Sunday, November 6 at the Jakes Rocks Overlook par...king area at 12 pm and hear from the International Mountain Biking Association and Trail Solutions on the design for the trail. Plus, we will walk a portion of the trail so you can see first hand the beauty and amazing potential this trail has to be a tourism asset to the area.

After the field tour, at 4 pm, the event continues at Allegheny Outfitters in downtown Warren with presentations by:

Joe Colosimo, Pennsylvania Kinzua Pathways
Andy Georgakis, NAMBA
Frank Maguire, IMBA Director, mid-Atlantic Region
Ta Brant, PA Wilds Ombudsman

Refreshments will be served.

Our insurance company has "strongly suggested" that we tell you that Mountain Biking can be dangerous. If you're visiting this site it's very likely that you're already aware that if you insist on having a good time by riding your mountain bike, eventually you will almost certainly fall down and collect any number of boo-boos, dings and injuries, serious or otherwise, but we have to tell you anyway.

Mountain Biking is a potentially hazardous activity carrying a significant risk of bodily injury and even death. Mountain biking should only be undertaken if you have a complete awareness of these risks. You can reduce the level of risk by wearing a helmet and by riding within your own skill level.
