I was at SB last sat night and passed 4 people riding without lids- Gave them the safety speach and later in the parking lot 2 of them told me they didn't realize the trails were as hard as they are and thyey should have worn helmets.

I rode after the trail work day at Hunters Saturday. Trails that aren't near the gorge/tributaries, or otherwise don't have much drainage were pretty wet since the rain on wed/thur. It's raining now, too as I write.

Rain is not such a bad thing at Hunters going forward because by all accounts (I haven't been out there) it's bone dry which means with all the clay content the tread is as hard as cement. So when it rains it sheets of or at least on most of the non problematic trails. So unless there is a deluge I wouldn't let a little rain change your plans for Hunters.

Trails were in overall great shape- much drier than I expected, the usual places were drier than practically any time last year! Get out there before it rains Tues/Weds!

Happy Trails,
Alex
