2013 WNYMBA Sprague Brook Race Series
We are going to be using the % back method of scoring the series.
This points system has the attraction that it will reward performance over simple placement. The winning margin matters for points. The points are a closer reflection of actual performance vs. who showed up for each race. This is similar to the % of winning time, the only difference is that the winner gets 0 points instead of 100. Plus using these methods, ties are highly unlikely. Lowest point total is the leader.
Each racer's points are calculated as follows: 100 * (Difference in seconds behind winner / Winner's time in seconds).
For example, if the winner's time is 20 minutes and the racer's time is 25 minutes (racer is 5 minutes behind winnner).
Winner's points = 0.00
Racer's points = 100 * [ (5 * 60) / (20 * 60) ] = 25.00
Racers will be scored on their best 4 finishes.
Here is last year's series standing using the % back method.
2012 Series Standings
When on the map page, click satellite view. The proposed course will go counter clockwise. If that is what we use, it will be well marked out for the race.
The other bathrooms will be open for use and there is a good sized lot for parking, so were thinking of running the race through that area.
That area and the shelters near the other bathrooms will be the site for this year's Fest.
dont really follow. is all that trail there or is it snowmobile trail... clockwise or counter-clockwise.
Looks like it starts at the bridge, up the climb to snowmobile trail, then into the big main loop until you get out towards the bro-way then i get lost
T-shirts are only going to racers who sign up for the series. I will be taking sizes at the first race and should have the shirts to hand out by the second race.

The Webscorer series manager is up and running, so I plugged in last year's spring races so we could have a look at it.
