Yeah, well Flying Bison brews a beer for our club, it's called Rusty Chain.;-)
We are talking with them about sponsoring the Fest weekend. If not we will just have to buy some.

I'll start some trash talk...
CANADIAN beer is better!

If need be we'll payout with some high quality Wellington Brews.

Rumour on the street, Wellington Brewery is talking about making us up a custom SHCC Brew.
Maybe we'll have a keg of it for SIX IN THE HOOD (SITH) if it works out or for the Stampede.

Anyone take a pull of the keg of Wellington Special Pale Ale at Frostbike?
It was terrific!

Next race for the Can Am Series is the Six in the Hood, a 6 hour race. Then we wrap it all up at the STS IV on August 25th during the WNYMBA Mountain Bike Festival.
The criteria for the Can Am Challenge is simple, you have to be a member of either club and race to partake in the trash talk and beer drinking.

Bonnie's results certainly would have helped, unfortunately she's not a WNYMBA member :(

I don't know what the racer criteria is but Bonnie Symes won both so far. That may change things?

Mojo

What are the advantages of riding a mountain bike anyway?
Staying at home, lying on the couch is much more comfortable

I realize this is a four race series but did anybody tally the results after the Winterfest race? I saw lots of SHCC members in the pictures and results.

Not very fast but havin' fun!

Our insurance company has "strongly suggested" that we tell you that Mountain Biking can be dangerous. If you're visiting this site it's very likely that you're already aware that if you insist on having a good time by riding your mountain bike, eventually you will almost certainly fall down and collect any number of boo-boos, dings and injuries, serious or otherwise, but we have to tell you anyway.

Mountain Biking is a potentially hazardous activity carrying a significant risk of bodily injury and even death. Mountain biking should only be undertaken if you have a complete awareness of these risks. You can reduce the level of risk by wearing a helmet and by riding within your own skill level.
