Rode Eville today... weather was great with sunny skies. Conditions were really good considering all the rain we have had lately. We really tried to ride on the high side the the mountain and stay away from St. Patrick, Anderson Blvd. or the East side (rain trail, race loop stuff).. which I think would be wetter. Passed by St. Patrick and talk t a couple that was working on the trail (now part of the FLT) the first thing they talked about was how we (WNYMBA) are working together with them on the trails. It was really nice to see the Multi trail system at work. They were doing some trimming of some low hanging branches. Rode Middle Pale... which I though was fine and had no problem riding it. Rode up to rim which again was in good shape, bent rim was also good. Rode Four rocks which has two trees down that need to be chain sawed, also the entrance needs to be trimmed, the grass is so high, I didn't see a rock and endo! .... the rest of four rocks is in great shape! It was nice to be back on the mountain bike... hope the rain stays North like it did today!!

Got out to Eville for the first time in many weeks yesterday. Conditions were a solid mix of awesome and awful. Singletrack climb from training center was good - showing great promise for the ride - but things got quite messy in spots. Anderson Blvd. was as wet as I've ever seen it - a vehicle was driven all the way on it, creating two mud tracks, draining with water all the way down. Parts of middle Pale Ale were quite bad and we're walked. Rim was mostly good, but there seems to be a few bad mud holes that are growing.

Buzzards, Porcupine and most of Mutton were great, however. There is a bad blow down near the end (near Anderson) of Buzzard's that will need a chainsaw.

Side note - there's the most overgrowth I've seen in a long time. All the rain has the weeds and vegetation growing onto our trails. Very jungle like in spots. Got slapped in the face many times!

I'm thinking of driving down to Ellicottville and doing a nice long singletrack run. Given the long weekend its 1 of the few times I've the opportunity to do such a long 1. Hope mother nature doesn't foil my plans.

This week has been wet, wet, wet. It has rained every couple hours since Monday. The trails are holding up well but have become rather slippery (to say the least).

The super crew did some good work on Eagle Trail last night. We benched the top part of the new section to avoid logging road. These improvements make Eagle a nice long uphill singletrack and long singletrack downhill.

No Goal, Wide Right, I'll just go ride my bike
