Wed. Jan. 20th – 1st Meeting of 2016 – Pizza, Ballots, Elections & More!

WNYMBA’s first meeting of the New Year will be your only chance in 2016 to do your civic duty while simultaneously drinking beer and eating pizza. Trust us, when you vote in November, it won’t be this much fun. Join us at 7:00 PM – Wed. Jan. 20th - Santora’s Restaurant, 1402 Millersport Hwy, Amherst, NY 14221 – in the plaza across the street from the Marriott.

We’re required to elect new officers each January, but that doesn’t mean that the meeting will be a boring one. First of all, there’s lots to talk about besides voting – like new trails in the Outer Harbor area of downtown Buffalo and at Holiday Valley. And, when we do get around to electing our new officers, we do our best to keep election speeches to zero seconds or less. To this end, mockery of the candidates is strongly encouraged!

If you don’t make any other meeting this year, make this one. Socialize, eat, drink and BS with your fellow mountain bikers, but most importantly, give us your vote and help guide the club as we enter a new riding year.

Just one more thing … PLEASE take time to support Thom Wright and all the good work he’s done at Harris Hill. Use the link in the article immediately below to help fund Thom’s 2016 trail building and other activities at Harris Hill.

Our insurance company has "strongly suggested" that we tell you that Mountain Biking can be dangerous. If you're visiting this site it's very likely that you're already aware that if you insist on having a good time by riding your mountain bike, eventually you will almost certainly fall down and collect any number of boo-boos, dings and injuries, serious or otherwise, but we have to tell you anyway.

Mountain Biking is a potentially hazardous activity carrying a significant risk of bodily injury and even death. Mountain biking should only be undertaken if you have a complete awareness of these risks. You can reduce the level of risk by wearing a helmet and by riding within your own skill level.
