We DON’T Need A Muck Truck – WE’VE GOT ONE!
“TRAV” COMES HOME!
Underneath all that blue plastic is object of WNYMBA’s most recent desires, our very our Muck Truck! Named after our most generous donor, “Trav” is currently alive and residing in Jack Kramer’s shop in Ellicottville after a week-long trip from his former home in a Florida warehouse.
WNYMBA had never before been involved in a fundraising campaign and when we started off on the journey to raise funds for Trav neither the outcome, nor the name, were certain. Call it Karma, call it hard work, call it whatever you like, we did it – together. A large number of donors gave us a boost, but special thanks should go out to two extremely generous donors, Travis Rohring and The Seneca Gaming Corporation.
Travis’s donation was made in honor of Larry Mordue, a long-time WNYMBA member, activist and friend to all beginners.
Other notable donors included Mack Lawrence (heartrateup.com) and Tips Up and Dina’s Restaurants, both in Ellicottville.
Capable of carrying up to 800 lbs. and 8 cu. ft. of material at a time, the 4-WD, 4-Speed Muck Truck will make the job of moving crushed stone and rocks into the wet areas of our trails much easier. Our Spring Trail Work Schedule is about to be announced. Pick a date or two and come out to watch Trav work!
WNYMBA says thanks and the aching backs of our trail-working members certainly say thanks.
Now we need a way to get Trav to his trail days. Anybody know of a good used trailer for sale?
