Get the bike out and take a night time spin along the canal tow path on a cool fall night. This is a great ride whether you are a hard core cyclist looking to get in some miles or just looking for a leasurely spin. Start in lockport (Parking lot at N. Canal & Cold springs road) and ride east out towards Middle port, Medina and Albion then back. Enjoy the rising "Frost Moon" of November as you ride through the countryside along the canal. This is an out and back ride so feel free to turn around and head back whenever you like, Multiple groups a possibility. Approximate distance to towns along the canal, Gasport (5), Middleport (10), Medina (15) Knowlesville (20) Albion (25-for the fest and furious).

Details Difficulty: Beginer friendly but fun for all abilities Terrain: Flat w/ Hard packed fine gravel surface (almost road like) Distance: Between 10 and 50 miles (ride as much as you like) Bikes required: Any kind of (operational) bike will do, The ideal bike would be a hybrid or cyclocross bike. Our insurance company has "strongly suggested" that we tell you that Mountain Biking can be dangerous. If you're visiting this site it's very likely that you're already aware that if you insist on having a good time by riding your mountain bike, eventually you will almost certainly fall down and collect any number of boo-boos, dings and injuries, serious or otherwise, but we have to tell you anyway.

Mountain Biking is a potentially hazardous activity carrying a significant risk of bodily injury and even death. Mountain biking should only be undertaken if you have a complete awareness of these risks. You can reduce the level of risk by wearing a helmet and by riding within your own skill level.
