The WNY Mountain Bike Meetup has just reached 100 members.  In its first three months, we have had 10 meetups, and another 17 are scheduled. The spring meetups are typically trail work, because it is too wet for riding.  This year the trails have dried early. No trail days are scheduled for June - August, so we hoping that members can create their own group ride events during this time.

If you participate in a meetup, please make sure to go back to the meetup event and give it a rating ( 0 - 5 stars), and submit any photos to this event.  There is a tool within the expired event to do this. Also, you can download the meetup app, iOS or Android, which allows you to take photographs of the event, and they are automatically placed within the event folder.  Including event photos make it interesting for everyone. Remember that this meetup is brand new, so give it some time for members to get used to creating and registering for events. We are placing (WNYMBA) after the event title, so that people know if it is an official club event.  If the (WNYMBA) is not present, then it was set up as a non-club event - which is still good.

THE MEETUP ORGANIZERS: Go to the following link to check out the organizers for this meetup.

ADDITIONAL PAGES OF INTEREST: Go the the PAGES link, to check out articles, YouTube videos, and map links.

Go to the WNYMBA.org site to check out the club's official web site.

Go to the discussions board, if you want to post to a forum.  Also check out the WNYMBA.org forum.

HOW YOU CAN HELP: We are looking for volunteers to be ride leaders for some of our WNYMBA group rides. Any member can suggest a ride event on this system.  Just pick a place and time, and if two other  members register for the event, then an email notification will be sent to all members. Your feedback is very important to us, so please let us know how we can improve this system.

NOTICE: We have no desire to spam you, so if you feel that this meetup is sending you too many emails, simply go to your personal settings and adjust what notifications you want to receive.  By default, all notifications are turned on.

Thanks for joining.

Our insurance company has "strongly suggested" that we tell you that Mountain Biking can be dangerous. If you're visiting this site it's very likely that you're already aware that if you insist on having a good time by riding your mountain bike, eventually you will almost certainly fall down and collect any number of boo-boos, dings and injuries, serious or otherwise, but we have to tell you anyway.

Mountain Biking is a potentially hazardous activity carrying a significant risk of bodily injury and even death. Mountain biking should only be undertaken if you have a complete awareness of these risks. You can reduce the level of risk by wearing a helmet and by riding within your own skill level.
